A recent study in a health journal has shown that our kids are addicted to junk food and are getting bigger and hungrier by the minute. Kids nowadays have three extra meals per day in the form of unhealthy snacks, mostly composed of utter junk food and junk beverages like soda pop and energy drinks.
With options ranging and coming from vending machines full of candy and chips to especially those disgusting and super unhealthy school lunch meals, our kids are not doing this to themselves but it is being done to them. Of course the major finger pointing goes to the food industry and especially corporate criminal institutions like coke, Pepsi, Burger King, McDonald’s etc. who blatantly advertise their poisonous foods everywhere, and worst of all these “foods” are only disguised as foods and are not even food at all! It’s a sad world we live in when you cant even get a decent and real burger from a fast food shop, oh it may taste like the finest burger and fries in the world but sadly these “foods” are not human foods and will kill everyone who eats them eventually. As it turns out, the act of snacking, not the amount of calories snacked on can control your hormone switches that govern how your body utilizes or fails to utilize the calories that are consumed. Eating too often can add a repetitive strain injury to your metabolism and cause a problem called leptin resistance, which will induce obesity and inappropriate cravings for food any food. This is a different issue than the simple notion of the total number of calories consumed and has more to do with the efficiency your body has to metabolize calories.
This problem could be addressed in a positive way by creating a campaign to prevent snack breaks in schools and replace them with lots of exercise time. Educators failed to realize that exercise reduces the desire to eat inappropriately, pumps blood to the head so students can focus better, and actually builds learning-related nerve networks that make our children more intelligent also students who are not overweight and are physically fit are sick less often – meaning they can actually show up for class in the first place.
The recommendations of the food pyramid determine what kinds of foods the government will buy to feed our kids but the government’s school lunch program is responsible for the low-quality food industry and this process is governed by industry (McDonalds, coke etc.) lobbying, not health lobbyist. The fact that refined carbohydrates are still allowed in this pyramid has nothing to do with health and everything to do with the profits of evil corporate food producers and makers of low-quality food that is being pawned off on our children in the name of “healthy” or diet and the makers of refined trash that contain highly addictive chemical stimulants in their food (making every effort to ensure flavor-based brand addiction).
The makers of junk food and low-quality food have been ruining the health of our children for long enough and as long as food companies can put addictive flavoring additives and compounds designed to stimulate dopamine production into our food supply we will have children who want to eat all the time.
The biggest problem here is not only our kids health but their education as a person who consumes foods that are low in natural energy like fast foods and sodas will not be able to perform good in academic test as their brains are saturated with additives and preservatives and the outcome will be a kids who can barely write and read by the time they leave high school and thus create a less educated society in which those who rule will have more absolute power over those who do not so in other words your kids will probably leave school dumber than when they started school and thus create a less informed, les educated and thus easier to govern society and town.
