Once again a report has shown us the truth about the milk that we buy from industrial dairies. A Harvard University report has just recently shown that pasteurized milk products from factory farms is causing hormone dependent cancers. The report states that concentrated animal feeding operations model of raising cows on factory owned farms can churn out milk with incredibly dangerous levels of estrone sulfate which is an estrogen compound which has been linked to testicular, breast and prostate cancer in people.
The problem with large dairy farms is that they milk their cows 300 days out of every year including when the cows are pregnant and when compared to milk from regions where the cow’s milk is only extracted during the first six months after a cow has give birth, the high volume cow milk from these factories after it has been pasteurized contains around 33 times more estrone sulfate.
Dr. Davaasambuu from Harvard University and her team made a clear connection between consumption of such high hormone milk and high rates of hormone dependant cancers.
It has been shown in various other reports that raw, grass fed, organic milk from cows milked at the right times is linked to improving digestion, boost your immune system and heal autoimmune disorders which can help prevent cancer. It is very important to note that how a cow is raised, when it is milked and how the milk is handled and processed can make all the difference in whether the milk product can promote health or death.
The 2012 Farm Bill is the American Governments way of further carrying their lie that all milk is the same and also provides many incentive and bonuses for those farms that produce the lowest quality and most health destroying type of milk possible. So rather than a cow being out in the pasture eating green grass they are now being caged up and fed genetically modified (GM) corn and other feeds that can make the cow sick and alter the genetics of the milk that they have inside and thus give the people who drink it cancer and other deadly diseases. The United States government will also take a further step by outlawing special prices which used to allow farmers to sell milk with higher protein and butterfat content on the open market because if farmers are allowed to sell higher quality milk at a higher price they will want to provide better living conditions for their cows but the US government would rather standardize all milk as the same and keep the new system where farmers will continue to produce cancer causing milk for us and our kids to drink.
