Bad is a common problem amongst people today and begin in the mouth as the most common result being poor dental hygiene and also can stem from an internal infection such as in the lungs or sinuses and even kidney failure or a malfunction of the liver. Any of these conditions can cause an unpleasant odor to emit from the mouth.
Your diet will have a great impact on the odor that comes out as a result of eating foods like…
- Onions, garlic and even soda drinks.
- Improper dental hygiene care
- Use of tobacco products and consumption of coffee
- Fast foods contain lots of additives and preservatives and these CHEMICALS will certainly give you bad breath.
Also if you neglect any cavities these sore spots in your teeth are an ideal place for food to lodge itself inside of and turn into bacteria over time as when these food particles decompose they emit a foul odor, which is a sulfur compound and most of us know what sulfur smells like right?
How you clean your tongue if you do at all will also have an effect of your mouth odor as the back of your tongue is rough is an ideal place for food particles to lodge themselves in and release the sulfur compounds which cause bad breath. If you starve yourself in the process of dieting this in itself will cause bad breath as your body has to continue to burn calories to keep your metabolism going at a functional rate and needs fuel so it begins to draw on the proteins and fats which are stored in your body which have an adverse effect of causing an unpleasant odor to emit from your body.
Remember that mouthwash only disguise the foul odor but no treat it and some commercial mouthwash leave your mouth so dry afterwards that it becomes an ideal place for bacteria to grow and stink your mouth up with.
To properly take care of your teeth you should use a fluoride based toothpaste the more organic the better in my opinion as many name brand toothpastes can discolor and scratch your teeth. Fluoride based toothpastes contain a poison that kills bacteria. The most important thing is to stay on top of any plaque buildup and to keep them fresh and clean.
Properly flushing of your teeth at least three times per day after meals or heavy snacks will assure you great shinny teeth and fresh and confident breath.
