What is the best thing we can do to uncoil at the end of a very busy and stressful day?
Maybe you like to read a book to inform you mind, watch a movie/TV show, or maybe you like to have a couple of cold ones at a pub. But, have you ever taken into consideration to do exercises for uncoiling at the end of your day? If not, then maybe you should.
A rough day can increase the stress levels of an individual. It is proven that too much stress is the cause of headaches, depression, insomnia and other issues. By choosing to do exercises could be your best way to combat it. Good workouts help to release Endorphins in your body, which is the “happy-go-lucky” hormone. So like a dose of medicine that helps us feel better, so is a good workout to help us get back together after a long day of hard labor and stress.
Sadly, a lot of young people in the metros pick going to a bar or pub to uncoil. It is alright, if it is done once in a while, but if it is done habitually it is not good for your health. While on the other side of it exercising at home or going to a gym is yet by far healthier.
Yes, you can choose to watch movies or tv shows to uncoil. However in my opinion exercise is a much better way of doing so. Think about it! Can you ever feel good about yourself after watching a good movie? Yes, you might get the feeling of being entertained. But, will that make you feel like you have accomplished something that will make you feel proud of yourself?
Now, lifting heavy weights, losing fat, adding muscles is sure to give you a sense of achievement and give that proud feeling! The sense of pride will help increase your self confidence, better your socializing skills, which it is something that no good television show can ever do for you. This may also explain why some people who have no confidence are often seen behind doors in their rooms seeking solace in food and television.
Some may think that if they were to exercise after a long and hard day of work, they would feel even more tired. Yes, if you are out of shape then from the start you might feel tired after exercising, but with time your exercise will make you feel refreshed and filled with more energy than ever. But, remember! The key to getting great results is to not overdo it.
Have you ever wondered also why sometimes it is a struggle for you to get a good night sleep? Well, exercising can also help you with that, too. It can help you get a better sleep at night. After a good exercise, your body will be fully wore out, but feeling great and your mind will be at a full relax mode after releasing endorphins. Fact is, that most people after some time choose to exercise over movies, pubbing, and reading a book to release stress at the end of a day.
Now, if you are feeling motivated and want to try exercising over other choices to release some energy, keep the following tips in mind and start to put them into practice as soon as possible:
1.) Commence with short sessions of about 20 to 30 minutes.
2.) Mix up a variety of exercises to keep things interesting
3.) Try to always start your exercise routine immediately right after returning home from work or if you exercise at a gym then go there straight from work. If you choose to go home, take a break and then exercise, you will in most likely skip the workout due to lethargy.
4.) Gather up with friends, your husband/wife to exercise together. It will make exercise routines enjoyable and keep you accountable.
5.) Try to end the exercise routine you amy have with some meditation or deep breathing for 5 to 10 minutes to fully uncoil. Maybe some asanas from yoga will help relax your mind after a great physical, mental, and spiritual body reviving workout.
So, take in this effective way to uncoil at the end of a long, depressing, and tough day. It is sure to bring out the best in you. Not only will it help you feel the sense of pride, but it will also help improve your physical, emotional and mental health.
