Many have tried to use the commercial ways to get to sleep faster and found themselves in a quicksand of trouble

Getting a good nights sleep has become a thing of the past with heavier workloads, demanding bosses, diet, stress, and lifestyle.  If you just read my last article on sleep disorders than I am sure that you will be looking for natural ways to get to sleep faster and for a longer period of  time.  Many have tried to use the commercial ways to get to sleep faster and found themselves in a quicksand of trouble and more drugs as trying to wake up then becomes a problem and  many choose to sleep in more which results in causing depression and then you have a whole new can of worms to worry about.  Getting a good nights sleep is crucial to your performance, health and state of mind if you expect to be successful at what you do.  The one thing that the body requires after a hard day at work is for rest and relaxation.  You can by adding herbs to your diet get to that point of relaxation that your body needs to slide in that bed and fade out to lala land.  Throughtout times the sedative properties of certain herbs have been used extensuvely to treat sleep disorders and not only are these herbs free from side effecgts but are also relatively safe and easy to get your hands on.

To start with chamomile will do wonders for your sleep as it is a very effective sleep remedy which can be enjoyed daily and in small doses.  This wonder of an herb works by relaxing the muscles and soothing the nerves and is great for digestion.  Hops (this does not mean beer) is a mild form of sedative and is very effective in aiding digestion, relieving stress and stress induced headaches.  Lemon balm is great as it also posseses antifiral and antibacterial properties.
Lavender is highly effective as it can be used in a variety of ways.  It can be placed under your pillows at night or used as an oil in aromatherapy.  Drinking the tea will also do wonders and get you to sleep quickly.

In addition to the ones described above, some other herbal remedies for insomnia include:

Vanilla
Basil
Sage
Catnip

There are many different ways in which you can reap the healthy benefits of these remedies and one such method is a herbal bath with essential oils, which is highly effective in reducing stress and rejuvenating your senses and youth.  Give these a try the next time you cant get to sleep and see and feel the wonders that they posses.
