Ever wonder how fast food can be so cheap?  Well Jamie Oliver told all on his television cooking show ‘Food Revolution’.  It seems that ammonium hydroxide has been used to convert the fatty off cuts into beef fillers for McDonald’s burgers and since then McDonald has altered is ingredients to avoid lawsuits and loss of revenue.  The beef off cuts are generally used in general for dog and cat food so for McDonalds to include this in burgers meant for humans is awfully nice of then don’t you think? You have to know that when ammonia enters the body it reacts with the water in the body to create ammonium hydroxide which is very corrosive and immediately damages the cells in the body and can cause tumors and cancer.

The ammonia that is used in cleaning your house is diluted ammonium hydroxide so every time that you use it you are coming in contact with it whether it be from skin contact or from breathing it in.

Interesting enough the United States Department of Agriculture Geral Zirnstein a microbiologist also agrees with Jamie Oliver that ammonium hydroxide should be banned entirely from fast food recipes. Sadly the bottom line is all franchises like McDonalds care about and to hell with the health of their loyal and addicted customers.
