Since 1971 when Nixon began his “war on cancer” cancer has become big business. The amount of money being spent on cancer research and treatment has skyrocketed from $50 billion a year in the 1980’s to over #300 billion a year today. Despite the obscene amount of money being spent to “find the cure” the death rate from cancer has continued to rise. In fact statistics show that “more people are dying from cancer now per capita than ever before”. And all the money being spent on early detection, better screening, new toxic drugs and new high technology machines isn’t slowing it down.
Cancer was almost unheard of in the US a hundred years ago. Why? Because people depended more on whole foods, foods that were unrefined and as a rule in their original form. Then after World War I processed foods entered the picture and became a much more significant part of the American diet. It started with the canning industry, which eventually evolved into the processed food industry. Then came other adulterating processes like pasteurization and chemical additives as well as bleaching were introduced into our food supply. The plan was to produce food that would last on the shelves for as long as possible which in turn increased the profits. In order to accomplish this the natural enzymes contained in food are destroyed which leaves you with “adulterated de-vitalized non-foods” becoming the standard instead of the natural whole foods we should be feeding our bodies. Years of filling your body with the adulterated foods on the shelves today causes numerous imbalances in your body which in turn leads to cancer.
Today despite the best efforts by the American Cancer Society, the American Medical Association and FDA many are opting to forgo the traditional toxic treatments for a holistic approach to treating cancer. There are numerous holistic programs available today. All are based on the basic premise that “the human body is designed to be self healing and will beautifully do it’s assigned task if we properly support and/or don’t hinder it in the performance of this basic function”. Holistic practitioners no matter what program they advocate believe that cancer is not only caused by an improper diet and environmental factors but also the state of your mental health. Negative thoughts can affect how your body reacts to any illness including cancer.
Treating cancer holistically requires a comprehensive approach that includes proper nutrition and clean water, detoxification oxygen therapy and building your immune system as well as lifestyle changes like getting enough sleep, exercise and sunlight. Other very important components include a positive attitude and spiritual cleansing along with natural chemotherapies. It doesn’t matter how aggressive your cancer is your body will respond to this holistic approach, how fast depends on how diligent you are in applying these factors in your treatment. The key to any successful anti cancer regime is proper nutrition and pure filtered water. Because diet alone can determine the effectiveness of any cancer treatment, making it the single most important component of any cancer treatment. The first thing you need to do is eliminate refined sugars, sugar substitutes, trans fatty acids and refined flour from your diet as these substances have not only been linked to cancer they feed and strengthen cancer cells. Other foods that fuel cancer growth and inhibit healing include processed foods, coffee, alcohol and carbonated beverages as well as chlorine and fluoride. On the other hand, a diet loaded with nutrient rich foods will improve all areas of the healing process. All plant foods like vegetables, fruits and herbs have nutrients that promote healing and protect against as well as inhibit the proliferation of cancer. However, the key to these foods is eating organic. Eating a diet rich in organic plant foods provides significant nutritional protection by strengthening your immune system and your body’s general health. If possible, you should eliminate animal protein from your diet. However, for those that need meat in their diet it should be kept to small amounts and only organic, pasture fed beef or poultry. If you like fish, always consume fish that has been “wild caught” not frozen or processed.
