Wheatgrass is the young grass of the wheat plant, is highly valued as the most powerful natural nutritional source, is high in chlorophyll content (this alone makes it a superfood that has highly alkalizing and energizing effects) and is considered a complete food as it contains every necessary nutrient that the human body needs. This juice that is gaining high popularity can be digested very easily and requires only minutes to digest.

Wheatgrass is a superfood that has many health benefits.

Wheatgrass is a complete food and wonderful source of vitamin C, E, K and B complex.  It is also rich in minerals such as zinc, calcium, germanium cobalt, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, sodium and plenty of protein. All of these substances combined can be very effective in boosting your immune and nervous system, reduce your high blood pressure, is great your metabolism (great for losing weight) can also prevent graying of hair. Wheatgrass is also very effective for detoxifying one’s body as it contains high levels of antioxidants which are very helpful in repairing damaged cells and rejuvenate aging cells.  It can also remove acne scars and can give you a boost of energy because it is absorbed immediately into the blood stream.  Diabetics should pay particularly close attention as wheatgrass is great for regulating your blood sugar level and is very useful in the treatment of cancer.

Although wheatgrass on its own taste like grass, remember chewing on a piece of grass when you were younger? Well, you can mix it up and combine it with other ingredients also rich in nutrients to get all the benefit of wheatgrass, in a glass.

All of these just need to be added to a blender and mixed for 15 seconds.

Carrot Grass

  1. 1 carrots
  2. 3 inch round of wheat grass
  3. 1 cup orange juice
  4. 1/8 teaspoon freshly grated ginger

 

Hawaiian Wheatgrass

  1. 1 cup fresh pineapple juice
  2. ¼ cup pineapple chunks
  3. ¼ cup orange juice
  4. 1 banana
  5. 2 inch round of wheatgrass

 

Wheatgrass Smoothie

  1. ¾ cup fresh orange juice
  2. 1 banana 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
  3. ¼ cup fresh papaya chunks
  4. 2 inch round of wheatgrass
