“This bread can stand on its own or drizzled with olive oil, as brochettes, sandwich toast, calzones and of course will be the best pizza dough.”

Prep time: 20 minutes

Rising time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

1 ¾  lb. white flour

3 tsp. yeast powder

1 ½ tsp. sea salt

4 Tbl. sugar

1 ounce olive oil or canola oil

1 ounce olive oil or canola oil

2 cups warm water (do not add all at once!)

Preparation

  • Add 1 lb. of the flour and the rest of the dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl and mix thoroughly.
  • Add 1 cup water, 1 ounce of the oil and mix until incorporated.(around 3 minutes)
  • Add the remaining flour and slowly mix now adding the remaining flour until the dough is no longer sticky. Don’t be shy on the flour just keep adding and mixing until it no longer sticks to your mixer.
  • Knead the dough for 5 minutes continually adding flour so it does not stick to your mixer.
  • Once the dough does not stick to the mixer anymore allow the dough to rest while you add the remaining oil to a large mixing bowl and spread throughout the entire inner surface.
  • Place the now un-sticky dough into the oiled bowl and turn over to assure that the oil covers the entire dough formation.  This will assure that the dough does not stick to anything and hinder your delicious dough to rise properly.
  • cover with a large nylon bag allowing the top of the bowl to have plenty of space for the dough to rise.
  • let rise for 25 minutes.
  • uncover bowl and punch the dough down and slowly knead for 1 minute.

Once the dough has risen you can make pizza, calzones, breads, donuts etc.
