Are you tired of feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed at times from bloating and gas?  This effect is caused by an abnormal swelling and or increase in the diameter of the abdominal area and is triggered by a person dietary ingestion of foods and liquids.

What you eat will have a lot to do with the amount of bloating that you will have and also    how you eat your food as many people tend to eat way too fast the problem being that when you eat fast you take larger bites and you also swallow lots of air.  If you love to talk while eating you will also be drawing more air in your stomach and even drinking water too fast will also bloat you up and makes it harder for your system to digest.  The key is to chew your food completely and thoroughly enjoy each bite and thus give your digestive system an easier and smoother time in doing its chores.

When it comes to food causes the main culprits can be beans, cabbage, cauliflower and onions but keep in mind that these are also incredible sources of fiber and important nutrients that your body needs so keep it in moderation. Also the artificial sweeteners that are used in everything from soda pops to that cheap maple syrup brand that you found in the store on sale the other day have a laxative effect on your digestive system and will have you feeling uncomfortable and bloated.

Great ways to prevent bloating would be to eat foods like:

  • Garlic. The hot garlic bulb is another great home remedy for gas. Garlic triggers and stimulates digestion.  Adding more parsley to your diet is also a very good remedy for gas.
  • Peppermint Oil. Mix two drops peppermint oil in 1/2 cup cool water and drink once or twice per day.
  • Add parsley, either freshly minced or dried as a spice to foods that may contribute to intestinal gas to help prevent them from causing gas and bloating problems especially when eating Mexican and Indian foods.
  • Dandelion Tea. The common weed dandelion has numerous health benefits, one of which is relieving gas. Drink as a tea or add it to meals as a dried spice.

with these tips in mind you should be able to ease your pain and bloating and have better quality of life.
