Keeping your blood glucose sugar levels in check is always a good thing especially with so many artificial sweeteners being used in today’s soft drinks and other drinks sold across the counter.  The way it works is that after you eat, the stomach and intestines take over and break the food down into glucose as our cells need the glucose for energy but the thing is for the cells to do their jobs properly they also need insulin which the pancreas produces when it receives the glucose.

Due to certain factors like being overweight the body the can become resistant to using its insulin which will cause the pancreas to produce more and more and sooner or later the pancreas will get tired and shut down which turns a person into a full diabetic.

It is very important to keep your blood sugar level well balanced as having low blood sugar also known as hypoglycemia will set off binge eating and the body will store this high blood sugar as fat.

Some good ways to keep you blood glucose level in check are:

  • Start by getting plenty of exercise as this is a great way to keep your blood sugar level in check and exercising uses up the glucose in your body and forces your body out of insulin resistance. Exercising will also help you in getting rid of that extra belly fat. You will need to work out for at least 30 minutes per day six days per week to get the full benefits.

 

Of course your diet will have a great deal on your levels so try eating foods like:

Crop of vegetables. Potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, cucumber, eggplant and other vegetables.

  • Avocados
  • Green beans
  • Asparagus
  • Eggplant
  • Broccoli
  • All lettuce variety
  • Lots of peanuts
  • Spinach
  • Snow peas
  •  Naturally sweetened yoghurt

 

If properly adhered to you should be able to control your blood glucose levels naturally and keep diabetes at bay and lose any extra pounds in the process.
