Testosterone plays an important role in our daily lives and is the main male hormone that maintains muscle mass and strength, can helps in the distribution of fat, aids in maintaining good bone mass, is important for sperm production and is crucial for a man’s sex drive and potency.  A high level of testosterone is inherently good for the good health in men and also as good in lowering the risks of high blood pressure and heart attacks.   A low testosterone level can have serious effects on a man’s mood, health and sex drive.

Men with low sex drive or obesity issues should measure their testosterone to make sure they don't suffer from low testosterone levels.

Regardless of the presence of obesity in man those with subnormal low levels of testosterone usually have a larger tendency to have diabetes than those who do not.  When a man has insufficient levels of testosterone he has a higher risk of becoming a diabetic and those men who have type 2 diabetics already have been shown to have a lower testosterone level.

A low testosterone level can also have dramatic effects on your mood as well as it can lessen your desire to work out or do any type of physical activity, it can give you a feeling of being tired and can also cause depression and apathy in men and most dramatically it can make you over fat and flabby.

A low testosterone level can affect both the libido and erectile strength to varying degrees.  It is normal for a man’s sex drive to slowly decline from its peak in his mid to late teens although the libido can vary widely from man to man.  A man’s sex drive can change over time and is affected by sleep, stress and opportunities to have sex.  It has been thought that a low testosterone level is one of the possible causes of a low libido and is a frequent accomplice to atherosclerosis in creating erectile dysfunction. Be careful to avoid saturated fats in fast foods and remove any processed foods from your diet.  A loss of libido can make a man unhappy about the rest of their lives and lower their own quality of life.
