Default two week results from taking an AI (non-cycle)
    *****Female, 25yr, 5,2", 111lbs.*****
Free testosterone level doubled after taking .5-1mg Arimidex every other day for two weeks. Starting dosage was .5mg first week, 1mg second week.

No other levels were tested for comparison.

Side effects were minor to none at this dosage: minor muscle and aching joint pain. Only lasted for a day or so. Vision got a bit worse but only for a day or so. No other side effects were noted.

Currently switched to Femara 1.25mg/Every Other Day. Side effects are very minor to none. Some pain in joins which lasts no longer than one day, and the pain seems to jump from one place to another and doesnt stick to one particular spot. So far so good.

As of today Dec 30th, 2007, she's down to 108lbs. Keep in mind that this is a lot of fat to lose for someone who's short (5'2"). Change in fat loss is very noticeable. Diet and exercise has always stayed the same.

    END OF CYCLE:
7week cycle, total loss of 3lbs fat. Side effects minor to none.

Her sex drive has not changed at all. Testosterone is not the only hormone that's responsible for increased sex drive. If it was, doctors would not be looking for the "holy grail" that would increase a woman's sex drive.

I was hoping that this would maybe work. But it seems like there is something else that's responsible for keeping her libido DEAD. Her sex drive has been going down for the past 3 years, slowly.

It would be nice to do a complete bloodwork, like there is some 200 different tests that could be done. But that would be expensive. I give up.

That still wouldnt work. I'd have to have at least a few people with the same ammount of blood work to compare the results.

Sex drive comes from two places in the body. We already know one.

pineapple.. sex drive.. god baby, i have been through my ups and downs as well!! there are soooooo many variables that play a part in a woman's sex drive..

From what i have learned over the years through personal experience, reading and lectures, and from my girlfriends, sex drives with women often tend to be a "head thing" Women are mental beings moreso than men.. we think and overthink everything remember!!

I know for me, when i am out of shape or don't love how my body looks.. if my confidence is down at all... If I am stressed out about anything... If i have pms... If i am depressed.. If i am in an arguement with a friend.. all that shit will play on a woman's mind and affect their sex drive..

also, estrogen does in fact play a role in the sex drive.. lack of estrogen causes vaginal dryness which causes painful sex.. painful sex then plays on the mind of the woman thus avoiding it without even realizing why she is avoiding sex, knowing she loves it!! (hi, personally been there and its not fun!)

now pineapple this is specifically directed for you... you have your wife on anti-estrogens... you do know that when you suppress estrogen, you increase progesterone... progesterone will cause a decreased libido as well as depression and mood swings.. Plus estrogen plays a role in the sex drive; in a couple of animal studies i have read (Research from the Yerkes National Primate Research Center in Atlanta) they actually administered estrogen to increase sexual arousal... so you may want to consider not standing behind anti-e's and marching around thinking they are the best thing since sliced bread for women when in fact they really aren't...
good luck.. i really hope you two find a fix because i know how this can also cause stress on a good relationship between a great couple... so don't you start stressing too much because that will only get her to stress out more and then you are beating your head against a wall trying to fix something else ya know...

oh and on a side note... a hormone test is expensive, but often worth it so that you can see just how UNBALANCED her hormones are, because i will tell you right now with 110% confidence, your wife's hormones are unbalanced.. you really ought to have her other hormones tested as well so you can see exactly how to RE-balance her hormones to get her back on track.

her test is up and estrogen down, but her progesterone is also up and i think that may be your culprit.. honestly.. I am not thrilled about all her anti-e usage... something to RE-consider!

I think a major misconception among men is that if they raise a woman's test levels, she will be a sex-feign... that may be true for the first month or two, but then things change.. hormones levels will change and one will try to conpensate for the loss of the other... trust me please on this.. i am not trying to discourage test usage, but i am trying to encourage competant, safe and balanced usage!! when test goes up, progesterone and estrogen get affected.. when test goes down, they rebound! Leveling is sooooo hard which is probably why alot of women steer away from heavy anti-e usage... just some more food for thought...

Never said anti estrogens are the best thing, and what they would be best for.

If the woman's vagina is dry, that's what KY Jelly is for, she uses it and is fine with it.

Keep in mind that she had absolutely no mental side effects while taking the AI. No mood swings, no depression, PMS stayed the same. So in her experience, this helped her lose fat with no side effects.

I'm not recommending this for fat loss or a boost for sex drive, I'm just posting the results of the experiment.

How would progesterone affect her and in what way. I don't see how it would affect her.
