Hey girls i have a few questions. I live in Lansing, Michigan and am looking to enter s figure competition. I was wondering a few things about it. First of all, Ive been training heavy for two years now, and have my diet down pretty much, but I was wondering how I can find local shows. I was hoping I could bulk for the winter, then cut before comp. so maybe do a show around June.
Are they held year round, snd do I go about finding one???

I was in the same position as you......I live in Edmonton Alberta Canada. I googled Alberta Bodybuilding. I then actually called the president of Alberta Bodybuilding to point me in the proper direction!

Just search for Michigan Bodybuilding and go from there!

There are shows year round depending....but on season is pretty much around April-Oct in most places. The first show in Alberta is in May and the last is in October.

I suppose it depends where you live, but sometimes if you go to your local gym or nutrition store, they occasionally will display flyers of upcoming shows on bulletin boards or something. That's how I have found out about a lot of the local shows in Denver. But Miss M. is right about googling it as well. We live in a time of convinience and Google!

welcome to the board! Sorry I didn't see this sooner. But like MF said most gyms keep a calendar of local shows. Also in the back of Flex there are monthly listings by city and state. Hope to see you around quite a bit. We need more females in these parts
