Default How to train off cycle?
Hey guys i kinda feel a little dumb asking this question but I'm starting to think I been doing things wrong for the past 20 years. Lol No really I kinda all ways train the same. Other then mixing up exercises and routines I still all ways lift pretty much heavy unless I'm lazy that day and I all ways do 3 sets of 10 then 10 or 8 then 8 to 6 reps and I'll do at least 4 if not 5 different exercises for each body part. So am I over training under training should I lighten the load when I'm off cycle? I never thought about asking cuzz i all ways thought i was all good with my training but now I;m having 2nd thoughts. What can you tell me....OK then Thanks for the help people..Mike..

I would say no to lightening the load off cycle man, but up the cyal's. I like shockig the muscles after a cycle. Do some speed work one week the slow core movements the following week then back to speed and so on. It seem to help me. Also maybe a few more sets and 3 or 4 exercises per BP instead of 5.

absolutely....never lighten the load unless you have to. lessening the reps or sets? sure. my thinking is...if you're training to lift more weight, lift more weight.....not less. just my opinion.

mike- i know what your saying bro. i would look to changing reps.
when i came off my cycle i was hurting bad. i was doing heavy sets of 1-5 reps.i lightened up to 8-10 reps and feeling alot better.

i think your cns can only take a pounding for a certain amount of time and then needs to recover a bit.
