Default Pleaese evaulate my workout plan and objective.
    I am 25, 144 lbs, 5' 6" tall, with 13.5% body fat.

My ultimate goal is to bulk up.

    My diet plan is below:

I have a big gut. How should I change my workout plan below to increase my progress in developing more defined abs?

    Monday: Chest + Triceps
    Tuesday: Martial Arts
    Wednesday: Back + Biceps
    Thursday: Martial Arts
    Friday: Legs
    Saturday: Chest + Triceps

I know that I don't have a particular day set aside for abs. A friend from the gym says that I don't have to worry too much about abs since they will "melt" off gradually if I stick to my workout routine, it works my core muscles. I want to do cardio but he advices against that if I am trying to gain.

    Please advise.

    A couple of things:

If you have a big gut you are way over 13.5%

Abs are only visible at lower body fat percentages

You are looking to cut and bulk at the same time which isn't gonna happen. Only Saureezy can do that and he's way below 13.5%. You need to decide whether or not you want to get bigger or lose fat. In my opinion, it is always better to lose the fat and then bulk. If you bulk without cutting the gut it will only get bigger as you gain mass.

One day of rest between your Chest/Tri days is not enough rest time.

Well, you want to lose weight while sparing as much muscle as possible.

The difference between cutting and bulking isn't so much in the training as it is the calorie consumption. Same foods whether you're bulking or cutting just different amounts.

Here's a good place to start.
