    Default Laziest Navy sailor!!
My name is Dan and I am 20 years old. I recently joined the United States Navy 5 months ago to improve my life. I am still in school but for my aviation job but as long as you can put up with a ton of bs, the military can change your life. ANyway, I was moderately in shape before joining and went the extra mile in boot camp. (stayed up every night for an hour to work out) Boot camp was a joke so I felt I needed the extra work. I also stuck to a moderately strict diet and after several weeks, i really saw results. There were 2 personal trainers in my division so I had a decent diet going and a decent work out plan. (biggest problem was not being able to run) I finished boot camp and I wasn't happy with the way I looked. I couldnt lose the last 5 lbs I had around my stomach. (I used to be a fat kid) So after I got really lazy and Ive gained like 20 lbs in 2 1/2 months. I gain and lose weight very quickly and I am starting a new diet and exercise plan tomorrow. I have solid abs but I cannot see them very well with that extra fat surrounding them. It'll take me about a month to get back to boot camp status and then after that I was wondering what I should do. SHould I try and lose every inch of fat on my body and build up from there or should I notdiet hardcore and just exercise? Im not entirely sure what I should do. I get all the food I can possibly eat and all the gyms are free here, as well as some free time. If you could help me out, I would appreciate it.

If you say you can gain/lose pretty quick; i dont think you need to go on a 'hardcore' diet alone. clean up your diet, of course; and also increase your cardio. not just for aesthetics, but i would assume these changes will also help your confidence, stamina, strength, and all around health.

Agreed.. and also hit the weights, hard and heavy! For you, I would highly recommend doing the 5x5 routine. Check out the sticky's at the top of the training section. You need more lean mass to see your muscles, not always less fat/diet.
