    Default Need Strength!!!
Ive come to the conclusion that Im a weak ass. Im really lookin to icrease my strength it's strongly become my main goal as opposed to have a good looking body (whats the point in lookin good if you cant bench good.

Any ideas on programs that will help improve my strength, that in return improve my gains? somthing along the lines of a strongman routine.

Have you tried the 5x5 routine??? That could kill two birds w/one stone. Add a little creatine and I can't see how you wouldn't get stronger. You could dive into do DC or westside training i guess.

Thers a ton of routine out there. 5x5 will suit you decently well for awhile.

Ok.. ya, you'll be fine bro. Give that 5x5 routine at least 6-8 weeks, you'll be very happy with the results.. then I'd keep running that until you feel like your stalling. Then maybe try GVT or volume training for a few weeks to kind of break the plateau... but that's down the road.. Keep at it my friend.

Drako, Check my journal I've covered a bunch of strength based routines. As stated above, 5x5 is really effective and simple. PB has a powerlifting-type routine that i saw some great gains from as well. Lastly, I did a DC style program as well somewhere in that journal. I say "style" because like you, I had a hard time grasping all the aspects of it. I did see some nice gains from it however. Good luck brosky.

5 x 5 is good to increase bench, but make sure you have good technique. The weight should be challenging enough where on the last set it is tough to get all 5 reps. If you are eating enough (not cutting) you will add weight to your sets quickly. Don't neglect triceps, they contribute to bench a lot.

Yeah 5x5 works good for getting your main lifts up as long as you eat plenty of food. DC isn't too hard to figure out, what part of it were you having difficulty grasping? I think a lot of us here are familiar with DC so maybe we can help you get it sorted out. I'd probably recommend milking that 5x5 for all it is worth first though before you try out DC.

I think I got it but not sure so does it go like this:

You pick one movment per body part (which you will choose from a choice of three movments, I.E Bench, Incline, Flyes) and do it to failure incorperating the rest pause technique for 5 sets after performing warm up sets.
After doing this you then proceed with extreme stretching after the workout is complete?

Is that it in a nutshell or have I got the wrong end of the stick here???
