Default Protein Powders - Waste of Money
    ..well, for me anyway.

I find the various types and brands of protein powder I have tried over the last 15 years have all had one thing in common - they don't work.

The problem seems to be that as soon as they hit my stomach, my digestion shuts off. Perhaps I'm just sensitive to strong concentrations of protein? I know if I have very rich food I also can't tolerate it.

Does anyone have the same problem?

    Can anyone suggest a solution?

    never had that problem.

eat more food to sub for the protein you'd be getting from the powders. its actually better like this anyway, but harder to do.

Have you tried whey isolate? You may be very sensitive to whey concentrate.

    Buy a decent whey isolate.

I use Cold-Filtration from Trueprotein and I can drink shakes with 100grams of protein and not have any problems.

If I tried that with a concentrate I would shit my brains out.

    Not every isolate is equal.

    I have used:
    (1)ON% Whey
    (2)TP Ion-Exchange Isolate
    (3)TP Cold-Filtration Isolate
    (4)TP Cold-Filtration/Complete Milk Isolate Mix
    (5)TP Cold-Filtration/Milk Isolate/Egg White Mix
    (6)TP Concentrate
Plus some other shit back in the day.
ON 100% Whey and TP Concentrate gave me gas and the shits if I took any more than 2 scoops.

The others I can take 4 scoops and not have any issues. I don't feel full and bloated like I did with (1) and (6) and I can eat 20-30 minutes later. When I took (1) or (6) I would get bloated and feel like shit for well over an hour after.

It is well worth your time and money to buy a decent protein powder.

I'm not saying go out and buy TP products. I'm sure there are other brands out there that are very good, but I have used TP and I will continue to use them.

    Default use a blender
I don't know if you use a blender or not. If you don't, then use one. Unmixed protein powder will give you the shits and gas. I drink two protein shakes a day no problem but I always use a blender. If you don't have a blender then buy one, its a must investment for bodybuilding.

Maybe you are lactose intolerant. In that case you are ****ed but at the least you can have a nice estrogen-induced soy shake.

Have you made an attempt to use digestive enzymes? Chewable ones or even ones you swallow would probably suit you well. Your body in particular may have a difficult time breaking down all those protien chains due to lack of many types of enzymes. Theyre dirt cheap like $10 for 3 month supply. Try it. I recomend it to everyone problems or not

You're def not ****ed if lactose intolerant. Most people with such an issue use ON procomplex because of the high dosage of lactase (the enzyme that breaks down lactose sugars) or you can even get lactase by it self even more dirt cheap. I never recommend more than one serving a day of soy to any male due to the isoflavones that tend to mimic estrogen. Great for you vascular system though.
