I am newbie too but calcium stops the absorption of zinc and isn't that what the z stands for in ZMA

You can still take Calcium products, just don't take them before bed....take the ZMA just before you go to bed without other supplements.

Yes ZMA stands for Zinc Magnesium Aspartate. The whole reasoning behind the consumption of calcium is that calcium will decrease the absorbtion of the Zinc. If you take calcium with ZMA, the body will prioritize what it breaks down first - and that will be the calcium OVER the zinc, therefore, the zinc will not be completely absorbed into the body. So if you want to get some calcium in you...i would recommend that you wait at least 30-45 after you have taken the ZMA if you want to take ZMA during the day. But i always took it 30 min. before i went to bed because it is a sleep aid as well.
