 How much is too much?
I know rest is essential but sometimes my sched. gets so hectic. What do think about caffine pills? I've been taking Vivarin almost every day this week. I never exceed two pills a day, I figure it's better than coffee (I can't stand the taste of it). What's your opinion?

Novice
i've been taking two a day for the past few years. I don't know how good or bad it actually is though. I take one to wake up and one before i work out. I've had good results on them.
oh yeah, vivarin rips you off. I recommend prolab brand. It's like 5 bucks for a hundred of em online.

If you are prone to ulcers, heartburn or irregular bowel syndrome you should not consume Vivarin, otherwise it is probably better than drinking Mountain Dew--very high in caffeine and way too much sugar.

no one of consequence
For most people I don't think the pills would be bad. For those in professions where it may be necessary to stay awake, alert, and functional for extended periods (law enforcement, military, etc.) then taking caffeine regularly is not a good idea. Your body will get accustomed to it and when you need the effects of caffeine the pills simply will not get the job done. Just had a researcher present this to us last month.

Yeah, I figure that it'll eventually become less affective like you say. I'm trying not to take it too regularly. I don't like being dependant on a pill to keep me going.
