    Question 12 hour time release Protein?
    greetings,

    A freind of mine was telling me about this 12 hour time release Protein. Should i beleive it?

    Nutritionists: Is it possible to feed your muscles for 12 hours?

    It is very effective. Many guys use it before bed because it is absorbed slower than whey protein. Just stay away from soy protein.

    What about egg white protein? How slow is its release?
    I eat egg whites with some olive oil before bed.

    dont quote me on this but,
    I'm pretty sure egg-white are fast acting protein. And i think milk would be considered slow.

    Egg protein is very good; it scores a 100 for biological value like whey protein, I think.. I understand its absorption rate to be between that of whey and casein. Realize that fast, medium and slow absorption rates are all good, but for a PWO shake, fast is usually most desired.

    Whey and casein protein each from from milk protein. Whey (click here for definition) is left over from the milk after making cheese. Whey protein is simply the protein in the whey itself.

    No protein lasts for 12 hours. If that were the case I would eat 2 meals a day

    Albumin is about a 3-4 hour protein, casein about 7. Mix it with fat for an extention, to some degree.

    Casein balls up in the stomach which is why it takes so long to digest.

    Ok that's what I thought, egg albumin is longer release than whey, and mixed with fat you get even more time for release.
