Nope, love 'em both. No hangover with the kava... though some say they've experienced one.

You probably won't do this, and most don't.... but do yourself a favor and order the actual ground kava root and make a drink out of it. So much better than any extract I've ever used.

Wow I love Kava. Pretty gross and like Assitch said absolutely no hangovers. but you might want to consider these(what I researched)
    Serious side-effects:
    Liver damage and/or failure
    Cirrhosis
    Hepatitis (may prove life threatening)
    Less serious side-effects:
    acne
    skin rash
    headaches
    constipation
    diarrhea
    nausea/vomitting
    stomach pain

i know a lot about kava just because in my island culture, it plays a big part in ceremonial functions. kava drink is mixed with the grinded kava root with a strainer before serving. ive seen a lot of people use it as a muscle relaxer, outside of the traditional use. it gives a buzz similar to that of alcohol, minus the hangover. Very powerful and very potent if mixed well....

kava is an herbal drink that orginates from the south pacific. if there is a large population of polynesians in your area, you can always find the kava root mix at a polynesian store; check the yellow pages...

The liver damage reports started circulating when some companies started using the cheaper stems and peelings, apparently. I don't believe the root causes any liver trouble.

And I really need to emphasize making the drink out of root powder like rocksteady mentioned. Soooo much better than taking the extract pills. I get mine from a company located in hawaii; in fact, I just received a package of their strongest variety today... I'll be sampling that after the gym tonight.

Oh my. This shit is STRONG. Give the Papua New Guinea variety a try from www.kickbackwithkava.com

Intense buzz, but you're still clear-headed. Plus without the negatives of alcohol. Good call for bodybuilders, and those concerned with their health, as well.

if one is concerned, i suggest talking with their doctor about it, especially if taking drugs already etc.
