Storing bulk protein powder(shelf life)??

Hey was wondering, most of the bulk protein powders(like from TP) comes in plastic bags. If u unseal that and put them in plastic jugs how long would they be good for?? WOuld it be better if u froze some of them or would that be worse??? How do u guys store large amts(50+lbs)??

When ordering from Vitalus.com you get an expiry date, I think it's around 2 years from production but I could be wrong. I personally buy ON protein and just throw it in my fruit cellar.
