    Default stupid creatine question but i cant find the answer in search
    How often do you take it? Like just on workout days or off days as well? I work at a steel factory and started thinking that i may need to take it everyday because i may be depleting my stores at work?

    And if you take it on odd days do you still take it with dextrose

    on off days dont take it with dextrose, on on days only take it with dextrose around training.

    ON days: 5g morning, 5g pre workout, 5g post workout, 5g before bedtime (all with about 5dl of water)

    OFF days: 5g morning, 5g before bedtime

    5g per day, each day of the week, is adequate, as the levels with loading are the same after 28 days. Creatine peaks at 90 minutes post ingestion as well, so take it before you workout.

    I have tried taking it a number of different ways, and found that what works for me is

    load @20g per day for about 5 days
    then take about 5g with a protein shake after training
    I usually wouldn't have any on days i wasn't training, but would occasionally take 3-5g before sleep (I train @5am)

    I found taking it with glucose, fruit juice etc prior to training made no difference

    Anything to prove that theory?

    Inked1: Take it with the pre shake then (with the dextrose), it will make a better load.

    There's a mountain of research proving that fact. The body has an upper limit on creatine storage, much like glycogen storage, and it appears to be at 160 mmol/(kg dm) Start by reading the research of Harris et al , entitled "Elevation of creatine in resting and exercise muscles of normal subjects by creatine supplementation." Clin Sci 1992;83: 367-74.

    I usually take 5g mono before workout and 5 g after workout(both w/dextrose). ON off days i try to take 5 g per day(usually w/o dextrose) but am not always consistant w/that.

    I'm just saying what worked for me!

    I didn't find any difference taking creatine with simple sugars pre workout. Doesn't your body reach a saturation point(where you cannot absorb any more creatine), therefore you just need regular maintenance doses?

    I've taken mine w/protein shakes before 2. DOn't think it makes a huge difference. I usually just drink the juice mainly for some fast carbs/insulin spike not cuz i'm taking creatine necessarily.

    Different things work differently for different people. We're not all the same ya know and our bodies don't respond to stuff the exact same way.

    I didn't really like creatine. I found that it made me lose my apetite and if I took too much I got the runs...

    I am going to give CEE a try and see how my body like that stuff. I'll be throwing down 5g pre-workout only. no workout = no creatine!!!

    i just bought some cee. alot of people like sns es matrix stuff. its pretty cheap also. ill let you know if it makes a difference at all.
