most good protien supps ussually have an ample supply of glute in them or glute peptides which if im not misstaken are even better for u than pure l-glute....ur money would be better spent on a solid protien supp instead like iso pure or or some other high quality protien.....imo

My experience with glutamine is that it helps with muscle recovery if you have a big leg day or chest day the day before, but as for building muscle, it doesn't do anything.

I only take it when muscles are sore from a big workout.

I'm a big believer in glutamine. I use upwards of 30 grams a day. I feel like it helps my recovery time and helps to spare muscle during workouts. I use the MetRx GlutNOS and have no complaints.

From what I've learned, glutamine is burned up the most out of all the amino's when you're body needs energy. Therefore - it is essential for me since I play college football.. if I didn't take it, I would be burning muscle and potential muscle at a pretty high rate.

I know it is essential for me since I have an extreme rate of activity, but I"m not positive if you're just lifting.. We have to lift, run and practice.. all of which pretty damn intense.

I take in 20g's a day. I throw in 10g w each protein shake, mid morning and mid afternoon (after lift/run/practice).

    My opinion..
