    For me...it lubes the joints.. I will take 3000mg a day...and its not like its a painkiller for the joints... its more so of what you don't notice...for instance..walking down the stairs and you knees are aching... MSM lubes up the joints...you will get down to the bottom of the stairs and say "Hey..that didn't bother me a bit"
