Question How much of a Mult is absorbed?
How much of a multi is actually absorbed from 2 tabs or usual dosage. Is it better to use stand alone vitamins by itself.

I usually just use b comlex, extra b12, Vita C, glutamin (not in multi of course), and calcium. Some Vita E but not too much..

Depends on the vitamin. Ones like Centrum have very poor absorption - like 10% if your body can actually break down the capsule. Vitamins that aren't covered in really hard covers like Centrum would be better, and natural forms (and even ones with cofactors) are better utilized.

Good point bro, I always seem that I am not getting enough of them so I double and in some products triple my dosage.

Well, with a good vitamin, you should be getting most of what it says on the label. However, the RDA is kind of out-dated for most people. Atheletes, and big guys like us, need lots more vitamins than the sedentary 150 lb guy that the RDA is set up for. So long as the multi doesn't have iron in it, 3 or more times the normal dose is probably actually a good idea. Although I might save the higher doses for cutting since most cutting diets lack nutrients.

Yeah I take it with non-iron my iron is naturally high and I break out even with low doses, so I'll stick with that then.

Might wanna give some blood if it's high. I gave blood once and I asked when I could workout again, and they said something like 2 days. Those ****ers lied. It took me a week before I could do weighted chins again. I tried it before that, and it felt like my arm was gonna explode, and I did get some bruising after that.

I give blood once a month and workout the same day usually. I just drink a couple bottles of those abb carbo forces with a stack of pancakes and waffles along with a 2 hour nap and I am good to go. quit being such a wuss and gitterdun man, lol.

I told you I tried weighted chins and it felt like my arm was gonna blow up and I got bruising after it. Why would I be an idiot and break it back open?

I do blood test and my doc and a second doc said I just have a higher count of iron than most people, but nothing to be worried about. Just told me to not take any extra supps with iron it. This could be why I wear a t-shirt and shorts when it freaken snows here in NJ.

Sources say TABLETS are worse than caps & caps are worse than softgel ( same as a liquid ).
There are sustained release products but i think they work very poorly, just sitting in your stomach as a bait for heartburn etc.

Depends on the cap. If it's covered with bees wax like Centrum vitamins then that's bad. If it's a gently compressed tablet then it's going to be a lot better.

Also, cellulose caps are more difficult to break down than gelatin caps.
