    Default HELP!! No dextrose left!!!!
I have posted this same thread in the diet and training forums, so if you've already seen it, I apologize, but I really need help here! I forgot to get dextrose yesterday and now I'm 15 min post w/o. Anything else I can do for 100 post w/o carbs? Help, anyone, please!!

If I remember correctly the liquid form of Gatorade has no dextrose in it whatsoever. It's the powder that has the dextrose. You could have had a few bananas. They're 80% glucose if I remember correctly.

Nope, no dextrose in gatorade. It has sucrose syrup and fructose-glucose syrup. But it was all I could find. I had to drink 64 ozs!! It had 14g carb/8oz, so at least I ended up with 112g carbs. I had a banana as well an hour later with breakfast.

Picked up my dextrose this morning too. I don't think I could handle another 64 ozs. of gatorade right after a big protein shake that was 24 ozs. itself. Thanks for the help.

    I believe it's about 70% 30% starch, 30% glucose, and 30% fructose, approximately.

It's alright SC........don't think one day is going to kill me. Besides, I ate over 150 carbs about an hour after I drank the gatorade, so I got what I needed.

Popichulo- you serious about the sweet tarts? Are they really dextrose? And how many do you have to eat?? I drank 64 freakin ozs of gatorade this morning........would have killed for a few sweet tarts instead!

Macro - could one substitute table sugar, then, for dextrose if in a bind for some carbs, but only count half of the carbs as coming from dex? Just curious, I don't ever plan to run out of dextrose again.
