    Default Cutting and Creatine
This may be a no-brainer for some of you guys.

I am currently going through the cutting and definition process. I have been off creatine for 8-10 weeks now while cutting. I am considering starting back, but here's where my question comes in: Í want to know if being on creatine while cutting is beating dead horse. I know creatine cause some water retention which is an enemy while cutting.

If I do a creatine cycle while cutting while my definition stagnate?
I don't want to look smooth....

Will creatine hold water under the skin or only in the muscle itself?

    Thanks for your replies.

Creatine on cut is just a sbeneficial as on a bulk. It will aid in keeping most if not all your muscle while you continue to burn fat. And it will give you that extra energy boost you often lack while on a cut in the weight room. Unless you are preparing for a competition, there's really no need to stop creatine while ona cut.

i disagree, but have nothing to back it up with. I was always under the impression that creatine retained water in the muscle. If your on a cutting phase, then your probably doing a lot of cardio, sweating and pissing most of the creatine out (i could be wrong, and probably am). If not sweating/pissing it out, then your retaining water for that bloated look, the opposite of the cutting goal...

Well either way it's true. During the very last part of your cut you can stop the creatine to lose the extra few pounds of water, but for most of a cut creatine is beneficial. Think about it, it helps maintain muscle mass better than nothing and strength stays with you. The water weight is quickly lost in a few days so there's nothing to worry about.

The purpose of a cut is to lose fat not muscle, which is how the creatine will help you. Once your bodyfat is down, the left over water weight is a piece of cake.

    Thanks for the replies.

I will begin another cycle. If I start to hold water and loose some definition, I'll cycle off. Just need to watch closely..
