    Could a few of the ALA gurus here, please fill me in on the best way to use this supp...dose, what to take it with & when & etc..

    Well....

    ALA is an antioxidant. It's one of the best antioxidant's because it is both fat and water soluable, so it can work in all area's of the body.

    Best way to use it ?

    Depends on your goals. Many bro's use ALA as a liver protector/aid. For this purpose, 500 - 1000mg a day is good. Most people go the the higher range if using orals.

    ALA also works as a glucose disposal agent. Similar to the way insulin works, ALA will remove glucose from the bloodstream, helping to transport it into muscle cells. Therefore it's good to take ALA with your meals that contain carbohydrates. And always take ALA with food. I take it right before I eat.

    Because ALA works like insulin, it can aid in dieting. I find that ALA works best with a keto type diet. With Keto/low carb diets , ALA will allow you to eat more carbs and still achieve ketosis .... which makes these types of diets much easier. For this, 2000-3000 mg daily is average. But you can go higher or lower.

    Iceburg - goals, not so much looking at it for liver protectant but more for the lean muscle building proporites, so if that is my case, I should ingest 2000-3000mg/day ??

    And should it always be taken with carbs, I have heard for some not taking it with carbs can cause hella heartburn plus other sides I can recall at this time...

    No Prob bro .

    Yes 2000-3000 is probably where you want to be. But start with 1000-1500 mg/day and work up to where you will stay at. Give yourself 5-7 days or so.

    Because ALA lowers blood sugar, you may need the time to adjust. This is also why it's good to take ALA with carbs. Helps avoid the sides from low blood sugar. But you can take ALA with any meal, carbs or no carbs. You should always take ALA with some sort of food/ protien shake to avoid heartburn. I take the ALA, Then eat.
