Can someone tell me the difference between whey protein and just normal protein? I looked at them and notice that just protein has 30g of protein per serving and whey has only 20g or so is there any difference in the two besides just protein carrying more gs of protein per serving

There are lots of different proteins. Some are slow digesting, fast digesting, better bioavailability, etc. Maybe go to www.proteincustomizer.com and read the descriptions of each protein.

I agree with you as well. Nothing beats real food.
But, the whey shakes are great when you are short on time or for that quick post workout meal.
