    Default My strongman log
I am going to try and get all this right.

    Clean and press with axl

    190x1
    210x1
    230x1
    250x1
260 clean, no press, form sucked

210x6 in a minute. Hard to control the bounce, they were with dirtbike tires

Medley 260 lb farmers 50 ft, 3 flips of the 775 tire, drag sled 50 ft, i guess it was between 400-500 lbs. I know ron was sitting on it

Holds with the 260 lb farmers in each hand 57 seconds

Carried a yoke maybe a 100 feet with a conans grip, only like 140 on the yoke but i dropped it about 4 times. We added a bunch more weight and i carried it 50 ft without dropping it. NOt sure why, must have had a better handle on it

stones, loaded the 235, 280 to a 50 inch platform, missed the 315 at the lip twice. Had it lapped and up thier, i just could not get it over the lip.

My termonology may be off, this was my first time doing this shit.

At Cameron Gardners house. He is a lightweigth pro. Unfortunately i can't get to the gym as i have very little range of motion still in my leg. I have a benign tumor that is areound my teardrop, it got rolled over with the stones a few times and bruised very badly, and my lower leg has alot of swellling. It is feeling better, hopefully i will be able to get to the gym tomorrow.

they would have to cut through my quad, i have had it since i was 9. I think a wrestling knee pad is going to help me.

Sounds shitty, sucks having restrictions like that. Hope all goes well with the tumor in your leg though, dropping big stones on it doesnt help im sure. Good luck with everything, and hope the strongman events go well.

THanks, i have a few ideas on how to pad it now. I never thought it would be a problem or i would have done it in the first place.

My leg is feeling better, was able to deadlift without favoring one.

conventional pulls 80 lbs of chain no belt

405 2 sets of 8 felt good, glutes felt week. Haven't pulled conv in 4-5 months

    chinups 3x7

    thick bar tri pushdowns 2x20

    hammer curls 2x15 40 lbs

    shoulder horn 20 lbs 20, 15

first day back in full swing, need to start eating again, cals way low. People have been commenting how lean i look. I guess when you were fat anything looks lean, probably around 260. down from 285. Might try squatting this week, not sure how the let is going to hold up, but we will see.

tomorrow is back to events. Bought a youth football thigh pad, and am going to tape it to my leg. I forgot how much impact those thigs can absorb. I was punching the pad over my leg and couldn't feel it at all, lol.

my leg is still not 100% i am actually iceing it right now.

log, worked up to 215 for a single and missed 225. First time doing it and it was really akward.

775 tire. flipped it 4 times and it was really bothering my leg.
Started using the other leg and they showed me how to do it in one motion, flipped it 5 times than pretty fast all in one motion. last 3 were on a slight decline, but the first 4 were on an incline, lol.

farmers. 260lbs took it 70 ft and lost my grip, couldn't get a good grip back.
chalked up and took it about 80 real fast and with a good grip, felt like i could have gone another 20-30 maybe more no problem.

Yolk, this was humbling. Took 500 lbs 100ft, dropped it once as it was swinging, but it didn't feel heavy. Than took 600 lbs about 40 ft dropped it and my leg was really starting to bother me now, so i called it a day.

All in all felt better, improved on the tire and farmers alot. So i was happy about that.

not really, but i have to start somewhere, lol. It was the medium tire in a 3 tire medley that the guy i train with put on at his show. The heavy one he has has very little grip and is narrower for some reason, i could not get a grip, and my shoulders kept slipping which is not good. It is only like 100 lbs more though. They explained to me that tire weight is not all the problem, shape and grip have alot to do with it.
