Couture will be crushed by Lesnar's omnipotent mass.

I read this shit this morning. This is gonna be the biggest MMA card ever. I hope Dana stacks the rest of the card. He should definetly put at least 2 title defenses on this *****. I think Lesnar is gonna kill Couture.

I think its kind of crap that Lesner already gets a shot at the belt, personally. Bare minimum he should have to face someone like Gonzaga, Kongo, or Verdum before even getting a look for a title, plus let Mir (who already whooped lesner) or Nog get first crack at Couture after their fight. ..and I'm sure if the HW division wasn't so weak, it would probably go that way. Weak, weak, division right now.
With that said, I'm taking Randy for this one

He said he harbored no hard feelings toward Couture and would try to make a fight with Emelianenko if Emelianenko becomes a free agent. He stressed that the UFC would not get involved with Emelianenko until he was free and clear.

    But he also said Emelianenko is a larger-than-life figure primarily because of the media. ***8220;Fedor is completely (expletive) irrelevant,***8221; White said. ***8220;Completely.***8221;
    wow...

can't wait to see the brock vs randy

The belt is Nog's. Randy should have to fight him for it. However once Nog cruises through Mir he will submit Lesnar to regain it.

I agree that it's early for Brock to get a titla shot, but they really don't have a choice. Mir and Nog are already scheduled to fight after the next season of Tuf, so this is the only logical choice. Do you honestly want to see Randy vs Werdum as his last fight, I don't. Fair title shot or not, this will be this Biggest MMA sales ever. I couldn't see any other fight happening for Randy than this since Fedor has two more fights with Affliction and Randy has to fight his remaining fight with the UFC. Also, you know Randy wanted this fight because of the PPV bonus offered to him. 3million for 1million PPV buys. This with easily do that.

Hmm considering they both earned it by beating big Tim, who Randy decisioned and Nog submitted, I don't really see where you're coming from.

It's great when people make bullshit statements and have nothing to back them up.

    Agreed

Lesnar is a great marketing tool, but he has no experience....what three fights lol.
Couture is an animal, a very smart fighter that can adapt , he takes anyone on .
Brute strength does not always win over mental skills and superior tecnique.
Couture for the win he's a smart fighter

Well you have been right on past picks, but you have also been wrong. Example = Liddells latest fight. Brock is huge, quick and powerful, but Randy does have tons more experience and is a smart fighter. He could win by outsmarting Brock.

I have been lucky enough to train with Randy and still would not go out and say that he should win this fight. I see too many reasons that he will have a hard time with Lesnar

I'm far from perfect when it comes to picking fights, but I'm trying to logically discuss the chances. You're not really telling me anything in your argument. How will he "outsmart" Lesnar?

Defending well, training hard enough to be able to manipulate him around the ring a bit. Getting some good shots in there. I agree that Lesnar is a beast, and that Randy at times has been far from perfect. Still....he could take this one. Never know. I admit I dont like Brock because of how dumb he is....having said that he also may very well may stomp the shit out of Randy. Cant wait untill Nov. 15=]

Randy needs to make the first move.

You don't want Brock to dictate this fight.

It is very simple and easy to understand actually. Tim HAD the belt when Randy fought and beat him. Tim did NOT have the belt when Nog fought and beat him. Randy did NOT lose the belt in the cage, it is still his and the UFC also recognizes this fact.

    Simple logic, really.

There is also the logic that when you quit the organization for over a year (for personal reasons) the world keeps turning. Are you saying that if Randy's legal battle had continued another two years he would still have been the champ that entire time? Where do you draw the line? And let's not forget the fact that Randy has been ducking Nog this entire time.

Defending well eh? Do you think the 230 lb Couture is going to be able to avoid getting taken down by the 280 lb Lesnar, who is faster, more explosive, and a better wrestler?
