    Default What If???
Anderson Silva were to fight Fedor, who do you think would prevail?

Lets assume that Anderson met Fedor at 210lbs.

My prediction is that Fedor would wipe the floor with him isnide of 2 rounds.

If they met at a similar weight, which is easy considering Anderson walks around at 220, I think it would be anyone's fight.

I totally agree.. it's one of those stale mate type of matches that NO ONE could definetly call before hand. In a fight like this it would most likely come down to who came up with the best overall game plan and stuck with it.. and even then, I think it would come down to a judges decision.

I think it would be Fedor's sambo vs. Anderson's jits.

Fedor will murder him. Fedor beats guys 50+ lbs heavier than he is. Majority of the time Fedor is fighting bigger guys.

I just don't see Silva being able to handle a bigger fighter like Fedor. Not to mention arguably the best fighter in the sport with a weight advantage.

Silva needs to beat top level 205lb ers before he goes after the best HW in the sport.

Its funny that everyone was talking about Silva fighting a 170lb St.Pierre. Now they all think he should fight a 230lb Fedor, LOL

Fedor going against bigger opponents really has nothing to do with it. He has made a career out of being faster and more powerful than big douches like Sylvia, but he is not faster than Anderson. And also, the size advantage is pretty irrelevant if they're meeting at a catch weight like we mentioned.

i'd love to see that happen. Fedor will lose eventually, someone will have an on night and he'll be off, thats just MMA,

his one loss is a BS one anyway, a winner had to be declared so in my book it was a NC (illegal elbow) only stopped due to cut in round 1.

No one can stay undefeated in MMA imo. I think in the next year or two someone will beat him.

But there aren't that many great HW's. Look at how we are talking about middle weights moving up, to me that just shows the lack of talent in the HW.

I think this will all be changing, the next generation of fighters should be pretty scary, with the bigger purses and the amount of fame and prestige the fighters will be getting.

I am very excited about the future

I love fedor, but a fight with Silva would be awsome, Silva would need to battle a few of the other HW's first though to see how he fights at 220 or whatever.

I'm still hoping for silva vs St.P.

I want to see Arlovski vs Barnett and Fedor vs Couture.

Assuming Fedor wins, the winner of AA vs JB gets a shot at Fedor. These two have the best chance of beating Fedor right now considering Nog is tied up in the UFC and won't be getting out in the near future.

BJ vs. St Pierre is the next logical superfight, Silva vs. GSP could happen further down the road. I don't see GSP being very motivated to move up in weight. My friend and I were just discussing how cool it would be if Affliction started putting on open weight tournaments like Pride used to.

This is a good scenario because it produces 3 fights that are guaranteed to satisfy. Nog vs. Fedor is done, Fedor decisively beat him twice.
