IMO this card lived up to all the hype. America was introduced to Fedor who made Sylvia look like an amateur. Arlovski tore through Rothwell and showed how good he really can be. Barnett also had a nice introduction back to the US with a nice KO victory.

I am sure Dana White is going to watch this event some time in the near future and I bet he gets worried!!!

I agree. Damn fine production. Beats any UFC event I've seen in awhile.

You can assume that Affliction will put on more shows and the production value will go up. I also thought it was sick having Megadeath playing live. I am not a big MD fan, but the live band was a cool addition.

When I only have one decision fight on the whole main card, that is good. Like the old Pride days when decisions were rare and KO's and subs were the majority.

It will be interesting to see what the pay outs are going to be for this.

I only saw what they televised on PPV so far.

I was happy to see Mark Hominick get some on this International PPV. A lot of people don't know who he is, but he is a sick 145lb fighter and a fellow Canadian !!!!

I think next Affliction card should have a lot of these same fighters fighting again. Barbett, AA, fedor, Hominick, Vitor, Bobalu, etc. All these guys that won should be back because they put on one hell of a show

The Lindland fight and the Babalu fight had a similar quality in that they were action packed yet lacked excitement.

Lindland is the most overrated fighter out there. Couture would do good for the ppv but thats about it. I don't think he's in a hurry to fight after seeing that beating. Fedors next challenge and most difficult out there would have to be Arlovski.

I like afflictions heavyweights better than UFC's

Its fun to have 2 high quality feds out there competing with each other, it will make each one better, and give us 2 solid events per month

You are right about Lindland. I don't even see why people rate him highly, he doesn't have any real quality wins to his name. As far as Fedor's next challenge, it will be Randy if they can get him in time, if not it should rightfully go to Barnett. The conondrum there is that Arlovski is much more marketable to the American audience at this point so he may step ahead of Josh. Either fight is good.

I think if Fedor/Couture doesn't happen, they will try for Fedor/Arlovski. Fedor has already beat Barnett and a Fedor/Arlovski fight would be a better way to market Fedor.

I also have a lot of respect for Vitor. I just watched his fight. When he hit Martin with that uppercut, he knew he was out. Instead of jumping on Martin and beating on his unconscious face, Vitor ran over and stood over him until the ref could jump in. Most guys would not do that.

Hopefully it did better than most UFC's because it was better than any UFC card I have seen. On paper it was a great card and they didn't disappoint.

    Did you watch it?

    Oh shit, my bad.

I don't know why, but I was under the impression that they fought in Pride. I had to go back and look at their records, you are right.

I still think that Arlovski/Fedor is a more marketable fight in the USA considering most people know Arlovski from UFC and Barnett isn't as popular in USA/Canada like he is in Japan

I'm pleased to hear the production/card/etc. went well (as expected).. my plans fell through and I was unable to watch the Affliction fight but got up to date reports as the fight unfolded. I'll have to try and download it or something. My little brother who is a big UFC told me the whole night was fantastic.
I look forward to more Affliction events!
