Default Miguel Torres will take Uriah's belt.
I can't believe I didn't realize this earlier. Torres stated in an interview that he wants the fight. Besides Kid, I think he is the man for the job. He will eat Faber alive from guard.

Strength is not the factor here. Torres' jiu jitsu is on another level. And he will kill Uriah on the feet.

Torres is good and I really enjoy watching him fight, but he isn't a match for Faber. Faber is a huge 145lb fighter.

Faber showed some great stand up against Jens. If that doesn't work with Torres he will take him to the ground and gnp him. Its not a good matchup for a 135lb fighter to fight the worlds best 145 fighter.

Its like all these guys saying GSP vs Silva. What sense does it make for Silva or Faber to fight a guy in the lower weight class? The most sense would be to move up a weight class and challenge the bigger guys.

First of all, Faber is not a particularly big featherweight. He barely cuts. An old Jens Pulver was able to match him in strength. Faber would get beat by a lot of lightweights. Hence why he was beaten into the dirt by Tyson Griffin. Secondly, while I was impressed with Faber's hand speed his standup is far from polished. Considering the amount of right hand leads he landed on Pulver, I'm going to have to assume his power is shit, as Pulver took shot after shot for five rounds, but was ko'd in one punch by Joe Lauzon. Torres is just a better fighter in every aspect of the game except wrestling.

Also, Torres' length will give him fits on the ground.

I've gotta say, Torres has some sick Jiu Jitsu.. and he's a tough son of a *****. It would be a good fight. Just my opinion but I think Urijah's wrestling/takedown defense would end up tipping the scales in his favor for this one.. but overall I think the fight would be too close to make a definite call.

The only thing that even makes it a fight imo is Torres' lack of size. The man is as tough as a person can be.
