i am one of the biggest randy couture fans.. and i know he is capable of beating Gabe, but you never know in mma--besides Gabe is a very well rounded fighter!

I really ****in hate koscheck so much. I want to see him bleed. although he is a very good fighter I hate his style so much. not entertaining at all. which is shown in his punch and run performance against that other idiot sanchez. he wanted to hand him his first loss so bad he made the fight a joke imo.

anyone ever notice the twitch he has? makes me wanna rip his face off.

I honestly believe that Gonzaga has to be the favorite. But I won't ever go against Randy.

    Pick: Randy

**** Josh Kocknocker. He is a disrespectful shit talking pink. He has never shown homage to the roots of the sport. GSP is one of the most respectful guys in the game. He is a true champion IMO. I hope he punishes Kocknocker.
In this fight, GSP has more opportunities to win than Josh and his human blanket approach.

    Pick: GSP

    Pick: Joe Daddy.

Patrick Cote has a chance if it stays standing. It won't stay standing though.

    Pick: Kendall

    Pick: Babalu

Guida and Aurelio is going to be a good fight. it could be the best fight on the card. I think that Guida is probably the favorite. Aurelio can take him though. Guida can win this...man what a tough fight to call. I'm going against the grain on this one and picking Aurelio.

    Pick: Huerta

Hardonk is an interesting match for Mir. Hardonk trains kick boxing with Ernesto Hoost and BJJ with Rickson Gracie. He killed Sherman "the Tank" Pedergarst with leg kicks. Leg kicks take out your heart. Mir doesn't have a heart. If Anotoni can start this fight off by pounding those legs, he wins the fight. Of course if it goes to the ground, Mir is the huge favorite. Antonit looked like shit when he hit the ground in his last fight. He had an awful fight. Hopefully his coaches have his head screwed on right for this one. He may be a fighter that needs a test to show up. He showed up strong in his first UFC fight. His next UFC fight was against an unknown and he looked horrible. Maybe a fight against Mir is what it will take to get him up for the fight.
I'm going with the dog in this one for the hell of it.

    Pick: Hardonk

    Pick: Leites

GSP has class, Kos does not. I would love to watch Kos's eyes roll to the back of his head while he receives a beating from GSP.

If George wins, I don't care about the rest of the outcomes.

    swelling,

gonzaga poses alot of problems for randy. But randy stated that gonzaga likes to wait wait then throw one punch w\out combos and he does not set up kicks. His camp also stated that they found tendacies that randy does and he a flaw. The only flaw i can see them perhaps talking about is what chuck capitalized on on part 2 and three--but that is chuck and not gonzaga.

Looks like Gabe is coming into this fight 10 pounds heavier.

I'm sure he cut more weight for the Cro Cop fight as he figured the fight would stay on the feet. He wanted to be lighter and quicker.

With Randy the fight will most likely go to the ground so I would assume Gabe wanted to be a bit heavier to put some more stress on Randy.

I could be wrong, but have went the last 25 years of my life being perfect so I'm probably right about this too

Randy is just not going to pull guard or show off his jujistsu like he tryed to with Ricco or Barnett.

Randy can def finish this in the 3rd-4th round by elbows from top position.

Lets not forget guys--Randy outstruck a great striker (tim and chuck and vitor) so randy can def strike.

But once again Gabe is no sloutch and i am still nervous for randy lol

Yes he does. Gabe is a horrible match up for Randy. He is a very tough guy for Randy to beat.

You are correct on all points. I would add that Randy is better now than he was against Chuck. Randy got rid of the succubus and now has a new supportive wife. He's got his shit wired together now and is a better fighter than before.

He NEVER had movement like he did against Tim. I watched some of the UFC buildup for this fight and he has changed his movement. He moves even better and is not nearly so predictable with it now. Watching him work, I could see him being a nightmare standing.

If Gabe doesn't catch him in the first round with a sub, Randy's experience and the sweatiness factor will keep the subs at bay. Randy should be able to handle him on the ground. But Gabe is no joke for sure.
I was talking with my trainer about this the other night. Background: I train at a Gustavo Machado affiliate. My instructor and Guga are good friends. My old instructor is actually moving to Virginia to train with Guga and help train his kickboxers and mma guys.
My old instructor talked to Guga about this and he said that he grew up with Gabe. He told my trainer that Gabe was absolutely a bad ass on the mat. His BJJ blackbelt is the real deal and not junk. He went on and on about Gabe's abilities. Of course all of us are pulling for Randy though. lol

what is unpredictable about randy and what I love about his style is the ability to adapt to each fight. his gameplan always seems to change for the better. imo a lot of fighters get a gameplan and stick with it through each fight. eventually someone is going to catch on, find a weakness and beat them. if gonzagas camp sees a weakness in randys previous fights I'm sure coutures camp is looking at the same weakness and working on it.

but really I can't see how anyone is rooting against couture.

He did what he needed to do for a clutch win against the greatest fagget in the ufc. I can respect that.

Very true and glad to hear you know some great trainers that is always key.

I have a feeling randy will stand with him 1st round and do some dirty boxing. then as the fight goes on he will work his judo\wrestling and trips and control top position just my thoughts.

What you think about that swelling?

It's just "Swellin" without the "g". lol

I think Randy will stand until he feels good about taking him down and finishing the fight with ground and pound. Randy is not the kind of guy who feels he has to shove it in the face of those who talk about GG's BJJ, and beat him on the ground. Most other fighters would try to do just that. Randy wants to win. He is not so stupid as to take it to the ground unless he feels best about that being the place to finish the fight at that time. So I just don't know.

I think Randy will play it by ear and take what Gabe gives him and try to win the fight however it looks best to him.

For me as a fan, I would love to see Randy put him on queer street standing in the first, and then finish him in the second with brutal GnP. I have absolutely nothing against GG..he's a cool enough guy and a good fighter. But we are talking about Cpt. America!
