 protein source question
I'm finding it tough on some days to get enough protein through food.
Some days I am taking 4 shakes and a couple protein bars, or 5 shakes.
I know it is best to get your protein from food but on days I have to eat like this am I getting sufficient absorption ?

4 or 5 shaked in one day plus protein bars? Where is the real food?

not everyday. some days i can only get 3 meals so 4 shakes is the other 150 grams of protein roughly

Protein shakes and bars are good but they don't come close to 'real' food. You said some days you have 5 shakes or so, why aren't you eating enough meals? Work? School?
If it is because you're really busy on certain days then you should make your meals the day before, keep them in the fridge. It only takes 5 mins to eat some tuna or chicken breasts.

if your protine mix is a good protien, protien is protien i mix 30% slow digesting protien and 60%fast digesting 10%flax"fat" both with vary good amino profile. and im fine
iv only been working out for 3 years and am bigger then most and most of my friends o and i dont eat meat OR fish and they do. so for me its harder to get it al in there i mean you can only eat somany beans befor every one hates you lol and i try to make soya not my protien source. chees beans and gluten is the main ones. then the other 200g of protien is in my drinks. together im takin in 300-400g ed.
i think protien drinks are good aslong as its not cheap protien, you take em at right times, and are eatign enuff cals in real food .

Some good info porkchop, more along the lines i was looking for.
If i can't eat much some days I just can't.
I also don't want to be eating 100 grams of protein in a sitting, with everything else that usually comes with that protein I'm gonna throw on some unwanted weight.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who can't eat all day, sometimes an egg breakfast with fruit and 2 decent meals is all i can get...beef jerky, bars and shakes are going to have to fill in the rest.
