Default Masking taste of disliked foods...
Okay, so I'm completely new to this scene...19 years old and I recently decided that I wanted to get serious about getting in shape and changing my eating habits, I'm 5'6 190 right now and practically none of that is muscle...I do not want to be "that guy" anymore. The problem for me is I am a very picky eater and struggle when it comes to eating most of the stuff that is healthy and required.
So I'm wondering if anybody has any secrets for hiding the taste/texture of those foods that are great for the body, but taste like shit haha. Again, I'm brand new to all of this so I'm not even really sure what foods I should be eating (gonna have to check out some more posts and such on here), so any information regarding what kinds of foods I should be trying to eat, and tips for getting them down would be really appreciated. Thanks alot (sorry for my total newb-ness when it comes to this stuff haha)

hey man, we all have to start somewhere... i'm glad that you're first post wasn't I want to use steroids

as far as eating goes, if you clean up your diet you're going to see some great changes in your body

choices of food to eat are numerous... you should try and stick to lean sources or protein, complex carbs, vegetables, fruit, and healthy fats

to list off a few in each category... chicken breasts, lean ground beef (95/5), tuna fish... brown rice, sweet potatoes, whole wheat breads, whole wheat pasta... lettuce, broccoli, green beans... apples, bananas, oranges... almonds, olive oil, fish oils

that list doesn't touch on .01% of the foods out there you can eat, but should give you an idea as to what you can and should be eating... good luck

Thanks alot man, I appreciate it. I've tried some stupid diets in the past but have just kinda finally realized that a diet isn't gonna get'r done, I gotta make some lifestyle changes, in regards to diet and other areas, and this forum seems like a great place to help me get that started.

yeah as stated above you'll learn to like healthy foods. and its good because most healthy food is bland as **** so if your picky it wont really taste like anything

post a list of the foods you wanna eat, and ill tell you how to mask them

hot sauce is going to be number one on my list most likely.

Well off the top of my head I can't stand eggs, but I know they are a great source of protein...any tips on getting those down would be awesome. Besides that though I'm really not too sure...like I said in my first post, I don't even really know what kinda of foods are healthy, and good for losing weight and such.

you'd be surprised with some of the combinations you can think up when you're hurting for something tasty... and many times they work out really well

some complain about the high sodium but i dont think you should worry about that yet. If you have a sensitive stomach, the spicy food may be a problem. I ate hotsauce by the ****ing gallons and had to give it up for awhile because i have a pretty sensitive stomach.
