    Default Maintenance Level
I was wondering how to figure out my maintenance level for calories. I am 6'1, 229lbs, with 16% bodyfat. When I use calorie calculators and all that, it says it is around 3450 calories, which seems like a lot to me. Some tell me to multiply my bodyweight by 15, some say 12, and some say 10. I am confused. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks.

lean weight x 15 is the usual recommendation. some peoples maintenance can range from 10-20 calories per pound.

youre at about 2900 calories for maintenance.
