Exclamation Need help with pre-contest diet.
Im planning to compete later this year in sept.
    When dieting I plan to use;
    day 1: low carb
    day 2: low carb
    day 3: low carb
    day 4: high carb
    day 5: high carb

Should the variations of high and low carb days be different?

How low are low carb days and how high are high carb days?

Another variation would be to have low carbs (1g per pound bodyweight) for 2weeks then go extremely low carb (under 100g per day) for 3days then repeat again

    What is your training spit.
I vary my carbs from low, moderate to high through out the week
    I train Mon-friday
    Monday Legs-moderate carbs
    Tue: Chest+Core-Low carbs
    Wed: Back+hamstrings-high carbs
    Thur: Shoulders+traps-moderate carbs
Fri: Biceps, triceps and forearms-low carbs
    Sat: cardio-low carbs
    Sun: rest-high carb

This worked for me carbing up on sunday gave me plenty of energy for legs day. Try and use moderate carbs on the more intense workout days. for me that is legs and back day. I use low carbs on quicker workout days.

I've never had much luck with carb intake rotation from day to day. I see results using something like a 5 low (in a row) / 2 high (in a row) schedule.

Low carb days I shoot for around 100 grams
Moderate Carb days I shoot for 200grams
High carb days I shoot for 600grams or more depending on how flat I am

If your energy is good feel free to switch a moderate carb day with a low carb day.

The plan for High/Low seems nice, however I would give some adjustements weeks before jumping on that. Like starting off with 6 high and 1 low, and gradually add 1 day to moderate carbs and then after to low carbs.
I think it will all depend how is you diet right before that, the softer the change the easier for you to follow.

Very true. Just start to eat as clean as possible and that alone will ease you into pre-conrest diet phase.
