    i bought this 25th anniversary edition of pumping iron dvd recently and i must say that that year lou ferrigno didnt at all deserve the no 3 rank at olympia ..he shouldve been #1 and arnie 2..

    no off to arnie,he has alwayz been THE MAN for me but every time i see pumping iron, i feel lou was robbed...

    is lou`s dad still alive.. i need that sort of person int he gym behind me...

    Tripz you crack me up with your posts... true Lou was a monster but he was unfinished (basically not cut). His dad totally ****ed with his mind (overbearing). Serge looked great till you looked at his stick legs. Personally I feel that Franco won that one. He was afterall "more muscular and have better definition".

    Watch the interviews with Lou, he even says it... he had no chance.

    When you look at the 30 years later part of the DVD, you truly se ethe winner. The only guys who even kept size was Arnold and Lou. Especially Lou. Did you see him when he did that camio on the Incredible Hulk Movie. What about Mike Katze man he was amazing......Kidding, that dude did not deserve to even be compard to those guys.

    You're insane. Lou finished where he belonged. He was a smooth 268 against a dialed in 240lb Arnold.

    Lou was really soft compared to Arnold, maybe you need to watch that dvd again. now franco on the other hand imo was much more muscular w/ as good, if not better definition.

    to short too blocky too thick......too much mass for a small structure...looks like shit.....Look @ Momo Benaziza...there was guy at the same height that carried far more weight better......with far better symetery

    I've watched that vid dozens of times. I dont claim to be an expert judge on BB, but hell Arnold Looked great, posed better than the others, and carried with him an air of champion. He was the clear winner.
    Plus Lou lost to Arnold coz he was given " the wrong advices"

    Arnold always said he loved how powerful franco was for his size. I personally think franco looked fantastic, but something about arnold is just so perfect, you couldnt change a thing on him to make it better. Katz and Waller look like the walking dead now, hell Katz should have been cast as a zombie in land of the dead he wouldnt have even needed makeup.

    To everyone against Franco, what are you guys talking about?! Franco could have easily won. It was clear he had more definition and was more muscular. Even Arnold's lats couldn't compare to Franco. And Franco had insane separation between the upper and lower pecs. I think Arnold won it because of his character. He had a better stage presence. Of course, Franco's height was an issue, but pound for pound Franco looked a lot better. Lou Ferrigno definitely should not have placed 1st or 2nd though. He was placed where he was belong.
