Tanning for Competition

My GF is competing in a Miss Bikini contest in about 2 weeks. She has a nice base tan from regular tanning. We tried applying the Jan Tana Competition tan last night to see how it is going to look. It didn't go well at all. It looked streaky and uneven. She is planning on getting two mystic tans done before the show and was going to put on the Jan Tana Competition Tan stuff at the show. What you guy and gals recommend that she do? Is there a better product to use? Do we need to do a better job of applying what we have? Is there a trick to getting this stuff even? Sure...
no offense, but jan tana isn't really viewed all that well by most competition bodybuilders. Most of the guys I know opt for pro tan. Use about 2-3 days prior to the show as directed. I've used pro tan and it worked pretty well for me. Most of those application tanning products are extremely dark so it's difficult to get a perfectly even tan.
