I've been a fan of bodybuilding for many years, dating back to the late 60's. Bodybuilding then focused on very muscular, well-built guys who were also well-proportioned and symmetrical (Franco Columbu, for instance). Additionally, definition and six pack abs were important.
Many of today's bodybuilders seem to focus mostly on size, bigger is better. And the six pack abs have turned into kegs.
So what do you think? Should bodybuilding head towards size or towards proprotion and muscular definition?
I prefer more proportion and muscle definition over being just freaky huge!
I don't like the distended stomachs that we so often see onstage now.
One of the most perfect builds in bodybuilding in my opinion is Darrem Charles. He's got great muscularity but he's still very symmetrical.(sp?)
Ya, Victor really showed some star potential at the NOC but now he's locked up in jail for a little bit. Im curious to see how the layoff will affect him as he was just starting to come into his own.
