“An all time classic that is not only tasty but incredibly healthy for you”
Prep Time: 8 minutes
Blender or Processor Time: 2-4 minutes
3 cups fresh holy basil leafs
½ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
5 large garlic bulbs crushed and finely diced
½ cup pine, walnuts, cashew nuts. On their own or mixed
¾ cup extra virgin olive oil
½ teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon honey
Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor careful to add the basil leafs first. Blend for 2-4 minutes until smooth and lightly dense with no large chunks of any ingredients. Keep in airtight container in fridge.
Pesto goes great on toasted bread, fish, chicken, steak, pork chops, pastas etc.
